YPs Give Back: Community Tree Day

tree-day

Spring 2017 Community Tree Day was a great success thanks to ReLeaf, the City of Greenville and many other volunteers and organizations. In two hours, 110 trees were planted and Young Professionals of Pitt County is proud to have participated in the event.

We met at the Blount Pavilion at the intramural ECU fields and all signed up to be in the Tan group. We geared up and listened under the pavilion. Despite the rain, the turnout was great, there were more volunteers than there were trees to plant!

Kevin Heffieron and Public Works crews, dug holes and places trees in each one to prep. When we walked up to our section, we watched and were instructed on how to plant these trees and then everyone went to work.

Thank you to all the YP of Pitt members who came out and joined us for Community Tree Day 2017!
