Young Professional Offers Chamber Leadership Institute Scholarship

UPDATED- The Leadership Institute Advisory Council awarded Brandon Morrison, Director, Industry Initiatives with ECU as the Young Professionals participant for the Leadership Institute Class of 2020.  Congratulations Brandon!  We are excited to have you a part of this program.

The Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting applications for the 2020 graduating class of the Leadership Institute (LI) program. Since its inception in 1983, this program has graduated over 924 civic leaders from various businesses and organizations in Pitt County and continues to be the premier leadership development program for local community leaders.
Through hands-on experience, participants fully explore topics such as: education, government and law, arts and culture, economic development, health care, business and industry and media. Selected participants also take part in a 90-minute leadership session each month with Dr. Andy Herdman, vice president of human resources with Mayne Pharma, to enhance the leadership component of the program. Once graduated, participants become alumni of the program and continue their impact on the Greenville-Pitt County Community.
“We take great pride in offering this program for our community year after year,” said Leo Corbin, chamber president. “Selected participants will gain valuable leadership insight, in addition to learning more about Greenville and Pitt County while connecting with their classmates and members of the business community.”
The Chamber awards one scholarship to a current YP member annually. For more information, please visit www.ypofpitt.org/services or contact Kimber Stone at kimber@greenvillenc.org or 252-752-4101 ext. 2222
