Raised in Pitt County, Brian Farkas is a 2016 candidate to serve District 9 in the North Carolina House of Representatives. Farkas works in an architecture firm founded in Greenville that fosters stronger communities by supporting Eastern North Carolina’s environment through responsible design and smart building. Prior to joining JKF ARCHITECTURE, Farkas worked for the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), where he specialized in emergency management measures to safeguard the lives and prized research of over 1,000 people. A local graduate of J.H. Rose High School, Farkas received a B.A. in Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master of Public Administration from the UNC School of Government in Chapel Hill.
